The young people we support through Glass in Society never cease to amaze. The Charity’s latest projects range from glass cloches and greenhouses, to using a thermal imaging camera to monitor heat loss, building fibreglass race cars and equipping a drone with a camera to experiment with different types of glass lenses.
Glass Sellers Award
An update from the Phiz Lab at Shrubland Street Primary School in Leamington Spar, the first of its kind in the country. Pupils have been using the microscopes funded by the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers Charity for their Martian Soil laboratory as part of their Space Camp residential.
Soohong Park was the winner of the Glass Sellers’ Beethoven Piano Prize 2016 for an outstanding performance of Sonata in E major No.30, Op. 109.
The Glass in Society Projects across the country, supported by the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers of London Charity Fund, continue to go from strength to strength.
Students at Kingswinford School in Dudley are building scale models of the Bloodhound Rocket car, that is being developed at Swansea University, as their latest Glass in Society project. Their aim is to break the world model speed record.
