SUMMARY:Court & Livery Dinner - 'The Installation Dinner'
DESCRIPTION:Booking will close – Monday 30th November 2026 \n  \nThe cost of the evening is £149.00 per person (inclusive of VAT)\, \nPrincipal Guest: \n \nMatt Gannon \nCo-owner and Managing Director of Brewpack Ltd. \nHaving a career in various sales and management roles in the engineering products distribution industry Matt came across Brewpack. Then a small partnership business\, that was created around 1993 – as a customer for components and then later as a supplier for complete systems and engineering projects. \nHe bought it in 1999. \n Glass Artist on Display \n \nArtisan Freeman – Anthony Scala \nAnthony’s initial training was in Architectural Model Making. It was largely due to the study of this extremely precise discipline that Anthony’s interest in Cold Working techniques in conjunction with optical glass was fuelled. \n‘My inspiration is drawn from the optical effects glass and light can induce upon one another\, and in turn\, how these shifting qualities can manipulate the perceived image of an object. Through them it is possible to create objects in which the laws of light\, shadow\, and reflection combine in ways only nature can dictate\, thereby allowing us a tantalising yet transitory glimpse of refractive creations forever beyond our grasp’. \nOver the past twenty years\, Anthony has become a highly regarded practitioner in the field of Cold Working. His work is prized by discerning collectors around the world\, who admire Anthony’s uncompromising attention to detail which has become the hallmark of his signature style. \nAnthony is also a seasoned veteran in the field of education and has taught both hot and cold glass techniques for almost two decades. His enthusiastic approach to teaching has earned him a positive reputation among students\, many of whom have gone on to become highly accomplished artists in their own right. \nAt the Piano – \n \nJeremy Chan \nJeremy Chan is a London-based pianist and Glass Sellers Beethoven Piano Prize Winner 2023. He is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama\, studying with Noriko Ogawa\, Charles Owen and Ronan O’Hora. \nA graduate of Guildhall\, where he also gained his Master’s degree and Concert Recital Diploma\, Jeremy has won both the Guildhall Beethoven Prize (2023) and Romantic Prize (2024)\, as well as second prize at the Watford International Piano Competition. \nHis concerto debut took place in July 2023 at St John’s Smith Square\, performing Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto with the London City Orchestra. He has performed at numerous prestigious venues and benefited from masterclasses and guidance from internationally acclaimed musicians\, including Dame Imogen Cooper and Sir Stephen Hough. \nAlongside his solo performances\, Jeremy is an enthusiastic chamber musician\, performing in violin-piano and clarinet-piano duos. Away from the piano\, he is a writer\, music critic and freelance translator\, with programme notes featured at Wigmore Hall.
