Tower of London – Moats in Bloom – 18th June 2024

To celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in the summer of 2022, the moat at the Tower of London was transformed from a barren, flat lawn into a habitat for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators in the city’s heart.

Honorary Liveryman Edgar Mobbs and Mrs Deirdre Mobbs

The moat was filled with wildflowers grown from 20 million seeds. This Superbloom was not just a one-time event for 2022; it is a permanent installation that continues to bloom. The project has had an incredible impact, especially within schools nationwide.

Glass Sellers joined a tour that lasted about an hour and was guided by friends from Historic Royal Palaces, who are one of Pollinating London Together’s Corporate members.
