This February and March, Somerset House will host an exciting new showcase of creativity, craft and innovation: the Glass Collective 2026 — a landmark exhibition bringing together emerging and established glass artists from across the UK and beyond.
Set within one of London’s most iconic cultural centres, the Glass Collective offers an extraordinary opportunity to experience glass as you’ve never seen it before: bold, experimental, intricate, and alive with colour, light and imagination.
A Fresh Platform for Glass Art
The Glass Collective has been created to shine a spotlight on the evolving world of contemporary glass. The exhibition brings together artists working across:

- Contemporary design pieces
- Conceptual and narrative-led work
- Innovative material and hybrid practices
Visitors will have the chance to discover new voices alongside celebrated practitioners, each contributing their own story, technique and artistic vision.
A Showcase of Innovation and Craft
From delicate forms that catch light like fragments of frozen water to ambitious structures that challenge our understanding of material and space, the Glass Collective celebrates glass as a medium of infinite possibility.
Highlights include:
Emerging talent presenting their first major public works
- Experimental techniques that push the boundaries of contemporary craft
- Sustainability-led projects exploring recycled and repurposed glass
- Interactive displays inviting audiences to experience glass through touch, sound and shifting light.
Whether you are a collector, enthusiast, designer, student, or simply curious, the Glass Collective offers something to spark your imagination.
A Cultural Destination This Spring
Held in the atmospheric galleries of Somerset House, the exhibition promises a memorable cultural moment at the heart of the capital. Visitors can enjoy the space at their own pace, take part in artist talks and demonstrations, and immerse themselves in a material that continues to inspire makers and audiences alike.
Open to the public, with special events announced throughout the exhibition period
The Glass Collective 2026 is more than an exhibition — it is a gathering of creative voices, a celebration of artistry, and an invitation to see glass anew.
