Following a successful bid for a grant to support the purchase of 10 microscopes and accompanying prepared slides, Prime Warden, Mr Matthew Demmon and Mrs Karen Demmon visited The Whitby High School to see the equipment the company had funded.Students from The Whitby High School Science Club demonstrated the microscopes to our visitors and completed a task using the equipment to identify the culprit in a crime scene.
The Whitby High School are grateful to Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers of London for their support of our students.A gift of further handheld microscopes was presented to the school. These will be really useful in our upcoming field trips.
